I knew it was a right move getting the husband involved this year in making our fireplace! The perfectionist had to make it more authentic than just leaving it as cereal boxes. :p

3 more days to Christmas!!!

Cos she kept asking to “decorate the house”, we cut out a huge Christmas tree cardboard for her to paint…

And of course we didn’t forget the star…

And here’s the best part. Throw her a bunch of stickers to decorate the tree (and get some peace and quiet while she gets hard at work). :p

We set up our Christmas decorations early this year cos the girl asked for it! And from tradition, we also built a fireplace this year! (Where else can we hang the Christmas stocking, right? :p)

Here’s how we did it last year (2011 DIY Cereal Fireplace, with instructions). This year, the daddy and daughter were roped in to help. In fact, the daddy said he wants to spray paint it red and draw lines to make it look more realistic!
Christmas mood is definitely in the air! And yes, a visit to the self-fix store is imminent.

Was walking around vivocity and the sharp-eyed girl saw a choo-choo! It lasted just the stretch along the whole of vivocity from end to end along the river… but that’s all it took to make the little girl beam with pure delight.

$6 for a ride. If the child is less than 90cm, one adult goes along. So the daddy gets a free ride too!
(but that also means my girl is still so very short.
)

It’s really beginning to look a lot like Christmas! As my girl would say, “mama, Christmas is coming soon!”

now that christmas is over… someone decided she doesn’t need to work hard trying to be on Santa’s “Nice List” anymore…

… no wonder the daddy calls her the “DRAMA QUEEN”…
