Happy Willow @ Fusionopolis
Dearest Yahn… you really don’t know what pains your mommy had to go through, just to make sure she keeps her promise to you today and to make you happy.

A whole series of unfortunate incidents happened to me today. Promised the girl to bring her out to a special event… Only to reach there and find that it was not happening (despite calling in advance to check!!)! I don’t really want to go into details there… but the whole incident left me feeling very angry and very upset. My girl was happily jumping around my feet one moment… and when she saw me fuming, she came over and hugged me and comforted me.
Oh gosh… There she was… not yet 2.5 year3 old and she suddenly acted so grown up.
But since we were already out, and not wanting to dampen her spirits, I decided to bring her to a VERY NEWLY OPENED indoor playground located at Fusionopolis! Yaps, where her daddy works… except the daddy was really very busy so he couldn’t even pop by during lunch time to see us.
Anyhow…..

WELCOME TO HAPPY WILLOW!
It was probably the only good thing that happened to me today. Just after I reached there, I realised I didn’t bring socks for both of us!! (Since this was an unplanned visit, right?) But thank goodness they provide socks for sale!!! *thank you thank you thank you* Cos otherwise, I’ll really have to bring my girl home without keeping my promise of a fun date out.
Here is the little one enjoying herself at the Play Garden, said to have age-appropriate obstacles to challenge the bravest of them. Looking at how my girl went… I’d say she’s braver than kids twice her age. Check this out…
Did you realise she was climbing up levels that were up to her neck?!?! Initially I thought this play structure was too much/high for her. But I guess I underestimated my girl again. She did have some doubts and fears initially… But I like that she never gave up. After a few encouragement from me and the staff at Happy Willow (and a few assisted practice), she shouted to herself,

See that last photo? That’s a picture painted on the wall! It’s so pretty that I HAD to get my girl to pose there. I mean, everything there is very cheery with bright colours and all… but this is so so so pretty. And it’s just beside the book nook!
Yaps. They have something new that no other indoor playgrounds (at least none that I know of) have – a reading corner! I really liked this cos when I see my girl panting away out of exhaustion, I’d ask her to drink some water and head to the book corner for some rest.
So she’d head to the shelves, pick up a book, and sit down flipping through it. As usual, even before I could finish reading one book to her, she’d tell me she’s done and wants to go back to the playground again! Gosh… where does this girl get her energy from?!?

Dear Ming Yuan,
Many thanks for the very kind words. I am so happy that you and Yahn had a good time at Happy Willow. We strive to ensure that everyone has a fun and relaxed experience. Hope to see both of you very soon!

Hi Jason,
I should thank you for the great time we had there. Had to leave early for the girl’s nap so will come by earlier next time so she can have a longer run.
This looks so fun! We have a playground similar to that in the town I stay here and Angel loves it too! Makes a great weekend hangout and she always gets so tired after so it’s easy to make her nap. =) This looks cool, next time we can go together and let the girls play together even when the hubbies are all busy! =) And yes, yahn’s a great climber!
Summer recently posted..Wordless Wednesday – You pain I pain
Haha… So true. I look forward to exhausting her so naptimes are so much easier.
When will you be back in SG? Yes, we could throw the girls there while we sit and rest.
